Al Ansar signs Daishon Knight, ex Sharks

Al Ansar Medina (SBL) signed 31-year old American guard Daishon Knight (185cm-86kg-1991, college: Illinois State, agency: BIG) for upcoming 2022-23 season. Knight joins another USA player Gerard Tarin who is already in the roster.
He played this summer at Sharks in New Zealand NBL league. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 9 New Zealand games just recently he had 13.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 5.0apg and 1.0spg. The last season he played at Akademik in Bulgarian NBL where in 13 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg. He was also named League Player of the Week. Knight also played 3 games in Balkan League where he averaged 11.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg. The other team he played that season for was Lions de Geneve in Swiss SBL. In 9 games he got 12.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 4.7apg and 1.0spg.
He is quite experienced player. Knight has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Israel (Hapoel Acre), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Lithuania (Siauliai), Montenegro (Mornar), Qatar (Qatar Club) and Turkey (Final Spor and Istanbul).
His team won Bulgarian League Regular Season in 2020.
Knight graduated from Illinois State in 2015 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
